Sundays are my Saturdays!

I can't even tell you how active I was yesterday...though I ended up sleeping in until about 12:30pm!!!! Since I don't have any classes on Mondays, Sundays always feel like my Saturdays (I think I can get used to it!).

I worked on some tax accounting with my roommate Shayna which took us about 20 minutes, and then right from there we jumped into our Sociology of Minorities online class to get a quiz out of the way! Let me say that we are never that dedicated to our homework (we always take 10 min. Facebook breaks, end up on some completely random website, and whatever 20ssomething girls talk about).
Freshman year...4 years ago! (I have more recent pictures, just thought a flash back would be cooler)
I was feeling quite antsy after we did some homework, plus the temp out side was sizzling 25 degrees! I went on a brisk walk for about 45 minutes. I love when I can be all by myself and no one can reach me!

Once I got back, we decided we were going to take a roomie field trip to Devil's Punch Bowl, which is a huge pit just outside of town that normally has a waterfall and little stream, but since it's frozen it's a huge ice block! The hike down wasn't bad since they have stairs, though they were a little challenging (fortunately I had boots on so I just plowed my way through the snow). Once we got to the falls the climbing and photo shoots began!
Roomies coming down the stairs!
I saw an ice ledge that I wanted to stand on so I started climbing on up! Everyone was yelling at me not to, but the adventurous side of me came out and of course I didn't listen ;P
Trying to climb, while Shayna poses!
Well that didn't turn out well! I ended up falling about a foot and before I hit the ground my forehead smacked the ice ledge!! Good thing I don't have a huge bump, though I am a little sore today! Enjoy more pictures that I snapped:
Missy and I on the side of the falls

They were helping me climb (not a good idea)

Tree branch in the middle of the falls. Kinda wanted to re-enact Tarzan!

I had my sorority meeting to attend last night after these shots were taken, so I had about another 30 minute round trip walk back up to the north campus of Stout! Who ever decided to hold the meetings up on North campus for the first time in my 4 years definitely wasn't thinking since half the sorority lives on South campus! Well needless to say I got my dose of exercise yesterday! Today I think I'll just do some strength and toning exercises!

Stumbling like a fool ;)

I love love love the tool bar add on called Stumbleupon, which is an internet tool that "stumbles" onto websites you may be interested in! All you do is create an account and select topics that fit your unique personality! You can add it too by visiting their site Stumbleupon (here)! It's a great way to spend multiple hours of your day if you are procrastinating or just bored (trust me I know from experience since I'm a college student)!

Here's an example of what you may find Useless Facts

I'll be back tomorrow!! And if you do start "stumbling" enjoy it!

What's your favorite thing to do to procrastinate???

New semester, new schedule! Plus I survived my birthday!

It's my last semester of college!! It's bittersweet I have to say. There's so much to do in such a short time, I feel like I haven't experienced everything college has to offer :'(

Ok enough of that blubbering, I can talk about that as graduation comes closer! Well I survived my 22nd birthday...barely! It was great hanging out with my roommates and friends all day, and then celebrating in the evening with some too many adult beverages ;) We ate at Stout Ale House which was perfect for starting the night out since the birthday girl got free rail drinks(okay, I'm a poor college student and take advantage of all the free things!). It definitely wasn't as bad as my 21st, but it came in a very very close 2nd!
Finishing off a daiquiri that nobody wanted! Couldn't let it go to waste!

I had a high school lock in on Saturday night that I had to chaperone, so I had to make a speedy recovery, which almost didn't happen! I ended up having a BLAST with all the kids and even managed to stay up ALL NIGHT until the lock in ended at 7am! Let me tell you I was beat when I made it back to my townhouse! I slept for about 4 hours and felt lazy so I got up and tried to be productive!

I didn't drink this all by myself (I swear!). Three people split this and I was just doing the honor of finishing it off!
My running schedule will be changing too! I don't have class on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays so I think I will be working out on my lovely treadmill (in my bedroom) on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and either Fridays or Saturdays. I also plan on incorporating weights and other toning exercises as well! Hopefully I won't be getting too busy with my classes and can actually "manage" my time! I will be painting with my roommate Julie, and can pretty much pick any my hours for the week, which I'm super excited about! WHOO HOO Flexibility!!
Yeah we get really messy when we paint! Plus I get to spend countless hours with my roommate Julie!

Another day. Another year older!

Well bloggy friends, it's my 22nd birthday today!!! I'm taking advantage of the free things around town: free lunch at the cafe, free truffle from the coffee shop, and free drinks tonight at the Ale House (restaurant)!

I don't feel much different since the BIG birthday was last year, but turning 22 just makes the REAL WORLD more of a reality since I will be graduating from college in May and finding a full time job!!!!

I will be sure to take TONS and TONS of pictures of my friends and the fun times that ensue so that I can share some with you!!!

Have a great weekend! For those of you in the WI area, try to stay warm ;)

Where do you find your races???

I personally love looking at Running in the USA (here).

I'm taking a look at some of the races I might be registering for!!!!

I normally don't do these...

...Make New Year;s Resolutions! I've spent some time setting some goals for 2011!!! I think it's going to be a great year!!! Here they are:
  1. Be in more pictures and look decent in them. My parents make personalized calendars and they always complain that it's hard finding pictures that I'm in. Also I always complain that the ones they do find I look horrible in! I'm already off to a great start this year, now that I have my new digital camera!
  2. Run at least 3-4 5Ks. I'm looking at a few already, now I just need to register for them!
  3. Run a 10K! I would definitely have to train a little harder for this, but I could start doing that this summer!
  4. Take a photo every day! I'm thinking of taking random pictures of anything I can spot!!!!
  5. Get a job using my degree! I'm graduating in May, so this will be a HUGE pressure!
  6. Read 3 books! I'm looking at reading Wuthering Heights and Lord of the Flies. I'm up for any suggestions?!
  7. Volunteer more (help others). I'm already involved in Habitat for Humanity, but I want to spend lots of time thinking and helping others.
  8. Spend more time with my family! There's no doubt in my mind that I will be spending lots of time with them since my sister is pregnant and due May 22!!
It will be interesting to see how these goals pan out! I'm very optimistic and am ready to conquer them!

Look at the new addition to my bedroom!!!! Now there's no excuse for me not to workout!
It even folds up so it doesn't take up much room!
